Jr. Firmware Engineer

• 1. Develop embedded software for vehicle modules and power up strategies using embedded C
• programming language and perform unit testing using CMock framework.
• 2. Contribute to body-controls power systems, closures, alert and diagnostic logging.
• 3. Develop prototypes for algorithms for dynamic calibration of system settings based on noise feedback.
• 4. Analyze CAN traffic using tools such as vector CAN dongles.
• 5. Build libraries and drivers for on board chips
• 6. Collaborate and work cross functionally with Sensor Integration, Closures Engineering and Firmware
• Validation to get inputs and co-operate on ticket development, testing and validation.

Qualifications

• · BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• · 3+ years relevant experience developing and troubleshooting firmware
• · Expertise with C and/or C++ firmware in bare metal applications
• · Familiarity with Microchip dsPIC/PIC 16-bit microcontrollers
• · Hands on experience troubleshooting electronics in a microcontroller driven system
• · Ability to read electrical schematics
• · Familiar with Linux command line, scripting, and programming languages (PERL, JAVASCRIPT, HTML,
• CGI…).
• · Experience and willingness to create documentation associated with firmware requirements
• · Experience with PID motor control and tuning
• · Experience with GITHUB or similar source code repository system
