As a Junior IT Buyer, you will be a key driver of our customers' SaaS procurement operations. You won't just be "processing tickets" - you will be a trusted partner to our clients, ensuring their software landscape is optimized and their renewals are executed flawlessly.
You’ll be working closely with Hani Mattar, our Head of Procurement.
What you’ll do as our IT Buyer (m/f/d)
- Act as a primary point of contact for our customers, managing their procurement requests with a focus on excellence, clear communication, and timely execution of SaaS purchases and renewals.
- Own the daily Intake-to-Procure process, ensuring SaaS purchases and renewals for our forward-thinking, tech-heavy client base are handled with precision.
- Learn the art of high-stakes negotiation by working with our senior team to optimize pricing and contract terms using Sastrify’s extensive benchmarking database and negotiation playbooks.
- Collaborate closely with Tool Owners at our customer companies to understand their needs, prioritize upcoming renewals, and ensure all documentation is airtight.
- Conduct research on SaaS tools to provide customers with market insights and pricing comparisons that support their purchasing decisions.
- Build and maintain functional relationships with vendor sales teams to streamline the communication and approval process for our customers.
Requirements
- You have a university degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related field.
- You have initial professional experience (e.g., internships or 1-2 years of full-time work) in procurement, operations, or - most importantly - customer-facing roles.
- You have a client-first mindset, enjoy interacting with people and have a natural ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited to work hands-on with various high-growth clients simultaneously.
- You are highly organized and can manage multiple tasks without losing sight of the details.
- You are comfortable with data and spreadsheets and are eager to learn how to track savings and manage renewal pipelines.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential. Proficiency in other major European languages is a distinct advantage.
- This is a Remote position based anywhere in Germany.
