As a Lead Data Engineer, you will set the technical direction for a mission-critical data function. You will lead a squad of engineers to build scalable data products that empower lending and analytics teams. This role balances strategic architecture with hands-on development to drive technical excellence across a modern data ecosystem.

What you will do

• Lead a squad of 4–6 engineers and mentor them to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth.

• Design and implement robust data pipelines and models using a modern stack including DBT, BigQuery, and Airflow.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to translate complex business priorities into reliable, self-serve data products.

The ideal candidate

• Has 7+ years of data or backend engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or decision-making role.

• Is deeply experienced with modern data infrastructure including GCP/AWS, DBT, BigQuery, and Terraform.

• Values simplicity and automation while bringing strong software engineering foundations in Python, SQL, and DevOps practices.
