SOLFL is a new movement in conscious education dedicated to cultivating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. Our first school, SOLFL עץ חיים, a K-12 Miami Torah Earth School, offers a rigorous, mutli-disiplinary curriculum that integrates hands-on, experiential learning with entrepreneurship, ecology, creative expressions and spiritual practice. Our goal is to move children away from traditional classrooms, desks and screens, into the real world. This is an irl (in real life) school aimed at cultivating the impact entrepreneurs of the future.
The Lead Mathematics Teacher for Middle School is responsible for teaching middle school Math through Algebra 1 with strong instruction, strong classroom management, and a clear commitment to student growth. This person should be able to make Math engaging, practical, and challenging while maintaining high academic standards.
This role requires many of the same qualities expected of the middle school science educator: strong classroom presence, strong project and task management, a highly systemized approach to responsibilities, and strong academic governance related to assigned classes. This person must be able to plan well, execute consistently, track student progress carefully, and maintain clear academic structures in their classrooms.
This teacher should be able to bring Math to life. That includes teaching Math in living classrooms when appropriate, helping students see mathematical patterns and relationships in nature and the real world. This person should also incorporate strong thinking skills into the work students are asked to do, so that Math is not only about procedure, but also reasoning, problem-solving, analysis, and application.
This role requires someone who prioritizes the student experience, differentiates effectively, and creates regular opportunities for all students to strengthen their skills while also being challenged to think more deeply.
