We are looking for a driven and people-first Leasing Manager to lead leasing operations for our Ithaca, NY portfolio. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of sales, operations, and community building, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the student housing market, and takes full ownership of results.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full leasing cycle including lead follow-up, showings, applications, screening, lease execution, and move-in coordination
Drive occupancy goals and monitor leasing performance metrics including conversion rates, days on market, and lead-to-tour ratios
Develop and execute local marketing strategies to attract students and young professionals in the Ithaca and Cornell University market
Build and maintain relationships with university housing offices, student organizations, and local partners to generate referrals and increase brand visibility
Ensure all leasing activity is compliant with Fair Housing laws and company policies
Manage renewal outreach and tenant retention strategies to minimize turnover
Maintain accurate records in the property management and CRM systems
Provide regular reporting on leasing performance, market trends, and competitive activity to regional leadership
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure units are show-ready and turnover timelines are met
Requirements:
2+ years of leasing or property management experience, preferably in student housing or co-living
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy and leasing targets
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage prospective residents, university contacts, and internal teams
Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and leasing compliance requirements
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and manage priorities without constant oversight
Experience in a college town or university market is a strong plus
