We are looking for an Analyst specialised in the Arabic-speaking world to join our international team of analysts based in Barcelona.
The Policy and Legal Research Analyst will research and publish analysis on the Tamarind Intelligence online platforms concerning the rapidly changing and highly controversial regulatory landscape for emerging sectors, including:
Tracking legal developments, including the effective implementation and enforcement of laws;
Finding information on what is not publicly available and forecasting what may happen; and
Working collaboratively with other members of the team on editorial, research, and analysis projects.

LL.B. degree or a similar qualification in law or political science.
Professional fluency in English and Arabic, with the ability to interpret nuance in legal and regional dialects.
Deep knowledge of the political and legal systems across the MENA region, including an understanding of informal power structures.
Advanced investigative research skills; you should be comfortable "following the trail" and uncovering information that is not publicly indexed or available online.
Proactive "journalist-style" outreach skills, with a proven ability to build a network of sources and conduct cold calls or interviews to uncover on-the-ground insights.
Experience in corporate intelligence, investigative journalism, or due diligence is highly preferred.
Strong analytical writing skills, specifically the ability to translate complex, "behind-the-scenes" findings into clear, concise executive briefings.
High level of self-organisation and the tenacity to pursue information leads independently while meeting strict deadlines.
Agility and curiosity, with a demonstrated ability to master new topics quickly and dive into diverse projects.
