Legal Operations Specialist

Cricut South Jordan Today
operations

Come help us herd cats! We’re growing quickly, the business is expanding into new areas, and our teams need thoughtful contract and procurement guidance integrated into their everyday decision making. We are a fast-moving tech company (yes—a tech company!), and our Global Legal Operations team plays a critical role in keeping the business running smoothly and compliantly.

We are seeking an early career Legal Operations Specialist who brings curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. You don’t need years of legal operations experience – just a solid foundation in a related field (such as contracts administration) and a desire to grow your skills.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Legal Operations and support a broad range of responsibilities requiring critical thinking, organization, and integrity. As the central connector between the Legal team and many internal business partners, you’ll help manage contract workflows, vendor processes, spend coordination, and system operations. We’re looking for someone proactive, collaborative, and excited to jump in, learn quickly, and help our team succeed.

Position Overview

The primary functions of this role center on core Legal Operations disciplines—including contract lifecycle management, spend management, and third-party due diligence—as well as close alignment with Finance and other cross functional stakeholders. This position frequently serves as a key liaison between the Legal team and internal business partners across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

To support a growing and dynamic team, areas of responsibility may evolve over time as new initiatives arise and organizational priorities shift. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Contract Management
    • Assist with organizing and maintaining contract files by storing and applying metadata within the company’s document repository and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system
    • Coordinate contract signatures using the company’s preferred electronic signature tool
    • Generate reports for contract sponsors upon request, including standard monthly tracking reports
    • Monitor and follow up on contract related milestones, such as auto-renewals and expirations
    • Draft basic contract amendments using approved company templates
    • Provide quick, frontline CLM support to cross functional business partners
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
    • Initiate and track Purchase Order (PO) submissions within the company’s procurement system
    • Support internal partners through the PO process, acting as a primary point of contact for routine PO status and balance inquiries
    • Assist with vendor due diligence tasks, as requested
    • Provide additional procurement or vendor-related support aligned to team needs
  • Administrative & Operational Support
    • Monitor system workflows, platform access, and shared in-boxes to ensure timely responses to intake and task queues
    • Provide general administrative and operational support as requested, based on evolving Legal team priorities
    • Assist in maintaining standard operating procedures, checklists, and process documentation
  • Other Responsibilities / Areas for Growth
    • Show up as a good human: be respectful, competent, ethical and collaborative
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, share best practices, and improve efficiency across the Legal department’s systems, tools, and workflows
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the Legal team and with cross functional partners across the organization
    • Proactively seek opportunities to expand skills, take on new tasks, and grow with the Legal Operations function as it evolves

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Legal Operations, Contracts Management, Procurement support, Compliance, or a similar corporate operational role
  • Relationship management experience is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with a strong academic or performance record
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, adapt to shifting demands, manage multiple tasks, and follow through consistently
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the company
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying adaptable, patient under pressure, and proactive
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
