As a trusted leader for over 20 years, Propelus has focused on bringing more good into the lives of the people and organizations serving healthcare. We deliver seamless compliance solutions to millions. We leverage market-leading technology and essential data to simplify complex operations, reduce risk, and champion a safer, healthier, and happier workforce.
At the core of healthcare safety is Primary Source Verification (PSV)—the process of verifying a professional’s credentials directly with the source that issued them. As our Licensing Data Operations Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert on the 330+ state licensing boards and regulatory agencies that power our verification services across EverCheck, CE Broker, and Data Solutions.
You will report to the Verification Technical Program Manager, serving as the internal authority on how we ingest, interpret, and maintain regulatory data. You will do deep research on different boards' verification methods, document their data nuances, and a build centralized knowledge hub that serves as our pervasive source of truth for our Product, Engineering, and Government Excellence teams. We need a curious researcher who enjoys untangling complex government regulations to build a centralized "source of truth" for our entire company.
What You’ll Do
Research & Knowledge Management
Research & Evaluation: Lead the research for state healthcare licensing boards to determine what licenses they issue and exactly how they can be verified. You will identify licensing boards' websites, data files, APIs, and the necessary data points that our Engineering team needs to build automated verification tools.
Source of Truth: Build and maintain a centralized repository in Notion for all 330+ boards. This includes technical specifications, change logs, board contact information, and specific data nuances. You will formalize scattered knowledge into a detailed, accessible hub that every department relies on.
Strategic Prioritization: Collaborate with the Verification TPM and Government Excellence team to evaluate outreach opportunities and prioritize which primary sources will bring the most value to our customers.
Cross-Functional Support & Communication
Internal Expert: Serve as the go-to person for questions regarding verification sources, data points, and board-specific quirks.
Issue Resolution: Partner closely with Technical Support and Client Success to resolve source-related customer issues and clarify data findings.
Board Liaison: Support communication between the company and external licensing boards. You’ll handle troubleshooting, resolving data discrepancies, and implementing new data integrations with licensing boards.
Your Support System
While you own the research, you are part of a highly collaborative network:
Verification TPM: Your direct manager, providing technical training and roadmap alignment.
Government Excellence & External Affairs: Your partners in state board outreach and relationship building.
