Position Summary
The Lido Retail Assistant will help maintain a successful retail operation by assisting customers and ensuring the golf shop is stocked and properly cared for at all times. This position is tasked with providing Lido members and guests with exceptional service, and assuring daily operations are performed to the highest standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Be knowledgeable of all golf shop merchandise. Sell merchandise and provide suggestions to guests as appropriate to meet their needs. Assist customers with special merchandise ordersCollect money or process credit cards, record sales transactions, and issue receipts for all merchandise sales, and greens feesAssists with all opening and closing procedures for the golf shopAssist in packing, unpacking, arranging, and displaying golf shop inventory. Assist with the physical inventory at month's end in accordance with inventory proceduresAct as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employeesMaintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shopAnswer phones and always maintain pleasant and professional telephone mannersSchedule tee times and handle customer inquiries and complaints in accordance with operating policies and procedures as neededPerform other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Qualifications
1-2 years of hospitality experience preferredPositive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.Read and write (English)Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.Give and/or follow verbal and written instructionsStand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a timeLift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
