Our client is a long-standing New York law firm with a concentrated practice in foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant matters. Role Overview
This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility and regular courtroom exposure. You will manage active cases, work directly with clients, and collaborate closely with senior attorneys in a high-volume litigation practice.
This position is fully in-office and requires regular appearances throughout Long Island and New York City. It is not hybrid or remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal briefs
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and proceedings
- Manage active caseloads involving foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant matters
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and status
- Work efficiently in a deadline-driven, high-volume litigation environment
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Bar license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of litigation experience (required)
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Professional, client-facing demeanor
