Position: SR Business Analyst with Investment exp
Location: Owings Mills, MD (Locals or Nearby)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Strong Business Analyst skills to include gathering and documenting requirements, data analysis/research required. Prefer Investments experience. Extremely strong candidate in investment data. Reporting/ Micro strategy.
Project is to re-platform 600 legacy reports. Requirements writing MUST be strong..
Additional Job Details:
This team is comprised of investment data subject matter experts. In order to clearly communicate with all of the business users – this resource will truly need to understand the need and interpret the data. Senior Level BA (with 5-6 years minimum experience) with high level experience in the investment/financial industry (investment management or brokerage firms). Firms that would have the type of experience: investment management or investment data related firms. Team is platforming from legacy systems (Business Objects) to Micro strategy platforms. Currently the team is using DST HiNet, Business Objects Reporting, and Eagle (legacy systems). BA needs to work independently, communicate with business users, gather requirements, writing functional specs, client/operational reporting, and high level industry knowledge. On-site candidate interviews for this position are a MUST. Provide writing samples in the candidate submittal on the last page of the candidate resume per the request of the manager. Data Analysis, SQL (to query and analyze data), and Data Knowledge is a must for the appropriate candidate. Micro strategy knowledge as a user is preferred. Team is currently located in Owings Mills (candidate must be able to work on site) – however resource would need to be flexible to work between OM and Pratt when necessary. and also a Business Analyst position which should not require third party suppliers.
