Position title: Sr Project Manager with medical billing, ICD 9 and ICD 10 exp MUST

Location: Washington, DC (Locals and Nearby Only)

Duration: 12 Months

H1’s are okay

Job responsibilities will include:

• Lead the planning and implementation of assigned project

• Lead a team of up of 10 members including Business Analysts, Developers and testers.

• Manage the PMO deliverables and provide weekly status report to the management.

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

• Define project tasks and resource requirements and Manage project budget

• Participate in the design and/or testing phases

• Develop full scale project plans

• Plan and schedule project timelines

• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

• Develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary

• Provide direction and support to project team

• Responsible for assembling the project staff; for their technical or functional development, performance.

• Quality assurance

• Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas

• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders

• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

• Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations.

• Organizes and conducts project team meetings

• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

• Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.

• Responsible for Issue/Risk Management and mitigation expertise.

• Project evaluations and assessment of results

Skills/Qualifications (preferences are in bold)

• Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes

• Very strong Microsoft Project skills.

• Understanding of hospital and professional medical billing, ICD 9 and ICD 10, HIPAA transactions – 837I and 837P

• Extensive knowledge of Release Management

• Demonstrated experience planning and managing large scale projects utilizing defined project management methodology

• Exceptional communication and presentations skills

• Background in healthcare IT applications

• Attentive to detail, highly-organized, and able to multi-task.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Develops IT system review schedules, audits and acceptance tests for each phase of a project.

• Identifies IT system design alternatives, researches existing IT systems in the marketplace and recommends viable IT solutions.

• Bachelors degree

• PMP certification (Preferred)

• Past Project Management or equivalent experience
