This is a full-time Non-Exempt, Fully Benefitted position. The anticipated salary for this position is $38,753.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvements of buildings, roads, and mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and improvements on buildings, roads, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct general maintenance in both interior and exterior environments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance for commercial and residential buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a safety-conscious environment.
- Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
Required Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and safety awareness.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, sometimes exceeding seven (7) hours per day.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for long periods.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
- Heavy physical activity (more than 50% of the job), including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
- Requires crouching, bending, kneeling, stopping, reaching, climbing, as well as hand and finger dexterity.
- Requires hearing and visual acuity.
Safety and Hazards
- Exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, combustibles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Must follow safety precautions and OSHA regulations.
