SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director of Special Giving
Directly Supervises: None
POSITION PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Director of Special Giving, the Assistant Director of Development will be responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting alumni donor prospects; recommending and implementing cultivation and solicitation strategies of individual prospects. Working closely with faculty, and volunteers, the Assistant Director of Development secures commitments at the $10,000+ level in support of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s programs. Assistant Director of Development - Special Giving will build and staff a portfolio of approximately 150 to 175 donors and prospects.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
Certifications/Licenses: Drivers license, car.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Familiarity with the mission and operations of Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Excellent written communication skills required. Spreadsheet and database software experience required. Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented team environment required. Experience with fundraising databases helpful. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as creativity and resourcefulness.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manual Dexterity:Work requires definite skilled and accurate physical operations requiring some closely coordinated performance.
Physical Effort:Moving boxes of materials to and from event sites, stretching and bending to hang banners, post signage, etc.
