Oversee the production operators. Ensure that manufacturing process remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring machine operators. THIS IS A WORKING TEAM LEAD ROLE.
Essential Functions:
- Setup and operate CNC and manual equipment when applicable.
- Read and comprehend blueprints in accordance with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) standards.
- Responsible for daily / hourly production scheduling and workflow schedules.
- Identifies issues in efficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Review operator’s equipment to ensure it is safe to use.
- Partners with Manufacturing Supervisor in determining work production schedules
- Enforce all safety/PPE rules.
- Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use.
- Complete first piece inspections
- Accurately complete applicable job travelers and inspection reports.
- Set up and perform secondary operations such as milling, drilling and deburring.
- Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards
- Other duties as required, necessary
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two to three years manufacturing operations
Knowledge of:
- Manufacturing tools and machines (lathes, mills and grinders)
- Solid understanding and ability to read blueprints
- Microsoft office products
