We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

 

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our team in Iberia. The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering the full mechanical scope of works across the project, ensuring all activities are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This includes overseeing mechanical installation, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout all phases of delivery.

Requirements

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery in line with project specifications, schedule, and budget.
  • Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays.
  • Review construction proposals, including scope and cost assessments, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, package managers, supervisors, and foremen, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and agreed timelines.
  • Drive productivity and performance through effective weekly and daily work planning.
  • Plan and coordinate day-to-day site operations in collaboration with package managers.
  • Oversee and manage subcontractor performance, tracking progress against schedule and manpower requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with other subcontractors operating in shared work areas to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted progress.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive weekly project reports, including:
    • Incident/accident reports
    • Schedule updates (planned vs. actual)
    • 12-week lookahead
    • Industrial relations issues
    • Procurement forecast (including long-lead items)
    • Weekly variation log (issued to the Quantity Surveyor)
    • Notifications of any delays, disruptions, or risks to planned activities
  • Consolidate supervisor updates into weekly progress reports, highlighting key achievements, risks, and material delivery status.
  • Conduct weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to capture all variations and ensure client costs are kept up to date.
  • Promote and manage site safety, working closely with the Mechanical Package Manager and Safety Advisor.
  • Drive a strong Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) culture across all project activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company procedures in collaboration with package managers.
  • Manage and control change management processes, including cost and programme impacts.
