Medical Scribe

As a medical scribe you will shadow a provider (physician, physician's assistant, or nurse practioner) during their shift and document each of their patient visits in real time in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. You'll make sure each chart is complete, accurate, and immediately available to the provider for review when they leave the exam room.

Requirements

• You are our ideal candidate if you are actively training or studying for a career as a medical provider, if you have familiarity with medical terms and human anatomy, and if you have previous job experience in a medical facility. Good computer and typing skills are a must.
• You may observe serious medical situations, up to and including those of life or death consequence. Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into and consider yourself up to the job.
• You will not be expected (or allowed) to do anything to or for the patient. The providers and nurses will be focused on the patient while you keep your focus on everything else.
