We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade voice solutions using Microsoft Teams. This role is responsible for integrating Teams with existing PBX/PABX systems, configuring SIP based telephony, and delivering reliable call routing, call queues, and voice workflows for customers. You will work closely with customers, service desk teams, and project engineers to ensure high-quality voice experiences across cloud and hybrid environments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teams Voice & Telephony
  • • Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Teams Phone solutions (Calling Plans, Operator Connect, Direct Routing)
    • Configure and manage SIP trunks and Direct Routing using certified SBCs (e.g. AudioCodes, Ribbon)
    • Integrate Microsoft Teams with on-premises or hosted PBX/PABX systems
    • Configure call routing, dial plans, number normalization, and voice policies
    • Design and support call queues, auto attendants, hunt groups, and voicemail
  •  Integration & Infrastructure
  • • Interface Teams Voice with third-party telephony platforms and carriers
    • Troubleshoot call quality issues using Call Analytics, CQD, and SBC logs
    • Support hybrid voice environments (Teams + legacy PBX coexistence)
    • Manage number porting, carrier coordination, and cutover planning
  • Support & Operations
  • • Provide Level 2 support for Teams Voice incidents and escalations
    • Perform root cause analysis for voice issues (latency, jitter, packet loss)
    • Create and maintain technical documentation and voice runbooks
    • Collaborate with Service Desk and Project teams during deployments and transitions

    Required Skills & Experience

  • Essential
  • Proven experience as a Teams Voice / UC Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Teams Phone
  • SIP protocols and telephony fundamentals
  • Direct Routing
  • PBX/PABX integration  
  • Experience configuring:
  • Call routing and dial plans
  • Call queues and auto attendants
  • Voice policies and number management
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across VoIP, networking, and SBCs
  • Desirable
  • Experience with SBC platforms (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Cisco, etc.)
  • Exposure to Operator Connect or Calling Plans
  • Knowledge of QoS, networking fundamentals, and firewall configuration for VoIP
  • Experience working in an MSP or multi-tenant environment
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-700, Teams Voice–related certifications)
