About The Opportunity
The Data Team at Flodesk is part of our Engineering Team, based in our Da Nang office. We serve as the single source of truth for the company, providing data-driven insights that empower teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in translating raw data into meaningful insights, optimizing data pipelines, and maintaining a self-service BI ecosystem that enables teams to explore and understand data effectively.
What you will do
- Business Insights & Communication: Engage directly with stakeholders across Flodesk to deeply understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Data Engineering & ELT Optimization: Optimize SQL queries to efficiently handle multi-billion-record datasets with complex business rules. Work closely with our Data Engineers to maintain and improve ELT pipelines, ensuring high data quality, accuracy, and freshness.
- Self-Service BI Development: Maintain and enhance Holistics, our BI platform, to empower business users with intuitive dashboards and exploratory tools. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to continuously refine and expand self-service analytics capabilities.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret user behavior, product usage, and business performance to uncover opportunities for improvement.
What you need to be successful
- Practical experience with Root Cause Analysis to diagnose business problems and propose actionable solutions.
- Advanced SQL Expertise: Proficiency in query optimization for large-scale datasets (billions of records). Ability to design accurate and efficient data models with complex business logic.
- Working knowledge of Python and data transformation tools like DBT and Airflows is desirable, but not a must.
- Knowledge and experience working with SaaS product or marketing attribution models is highly desirable.
- Solid experience in designing dashboards and reports that provide clear, impactful insights for business users.
- Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal English.
- Be a critical thinker and a proactive problem-solver - someone who doesn’t just analyze numbers but asks the right questions and drives meaningful change.
