The Municipal Customer Support Representative provides a high level of technical service to all internal and external customers, resolves each enquiry within the agreed time frames and ensures the customer is communicated with at all steps of the process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide consistently excellent customer support including prompt processing of orders received by telephone, email, data entry, complaint resolution and timely return of calls to ensure all customer service targets are met as a minimum or exceeded.
- Record and process customer contacts accurately and adhere to processes and technical registry.
- Use appropriate systems to provide visibility of own activity throughout the day ensuring all cases are resolved and communicated to the customer as per customer service targets.
- Assist with any end of period updates / procedures / reports as directed and in accordance with Contract requirements
- Carry out other administrative duties as required such as; filing / archiving / mail outs / return of goods and any other admin functions required by the Municipal Contract
- Ensure productivity is maintained at the highest level expected.
- Liaise with accounts department & senior management where required.
Qualifications
- Moderate customer service experience
- Minimal experience in sales order processing or related function.
- Minimal waste industry or manufacturing industry experience.
- Waste industry knowledge.
- Customer service skills including strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong service ethic.
- Computer application skills.
- Good telephone etiquette, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High level attention to detail.
- Secondary School certificate or equivalent
