HTM is hiring a battle-tested CFO who has helped businesses become financially disciplined, profitable, and scalable—not just someone who produces financial reports.
This is not a passive accounting or advisory role. We are looking for a hands-on financial operator who understands how to install financial systems, enforce accountability around numbers, and drive measurable improvements in profitability and cash flow.
To be considered, you must have 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience and a proven track record of improving financial performance in growing businesses.
You must also have direct experience working with companies generating between $10M and $30M+ in annual revenue, where financial discipline, cash flow management, and operational accountability are critical to sustained growth.
If your background is limited to financial reporting without directly influencing profitability, pricing, cash flow, and operational decisions, this role will not be a fit.
You will serve as a CFO-level coach and financial execution partner to law firm owners across the country.
This role blends strategic financial leadership with disciplined execution and accountability. You are not just reviewing numbers—you are helping owners understand them, act on them, and improve them.
Your role includes:
Diagnosing Financial Issues
Identifying profitability leaks, pricing problems, expense inefficiencies, and cash flow risks.
Driving Financial Outcomes
Turning financial insights into clear, actionable steps that improve margins, revenue discipline, and financial stability.
Enforcing Financial Accountability
Holding firm owners accountable to financial targets, commitments, and operational discipline.
Conduct high-level 1:1 financial strategy calls with law firm owners.
Review financial statements, cash flow reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
Help owners understand the story behind their numbers and what actions they need to take.
Identify risks and opportunities in pricing, expenses, staffing, and operational performance.
Guide owners through budgeting, forecasting, and forward-looking financial decisions.
Document commitments and track measurable financial progress.
Respond to client communication within established white-glove service standards.
Participate in internal leadership sessions focused on scaling the HTM mission.
10+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, Fractional CFO, or equivalent).
Revenue Scale Experience: Direct experience working with companies generating $10M–$30M+ in annual revenue.
Direct Financial Impact: Proven record of improving profitability, cash flow, or financial performance in a business.
Entrepreneurial Environment: Experience working with small businesses, professional services firms, or founder-led organizations.
Financial Strategy: Deep experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
Financial Coaching: Ability to teach non-financial business owners how to make better financial decisions.
Systems & Metrics: Experience building financial dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking systems.
This role is ideal for a financial operator who enjoys working directly with business owners and influencing real financial outcomes—not just producing reports or managing internal accounting teams.
You will thrive in this role if you are:
A Fractional or Advisory CFO
You have experience advising multiple businesses and enjoy helping entrepreneurs understand their numbers, improve profitability, and make better financial decisions.
A Former CFO Who Wants More Direct Impact
You’ve worked in senior financial leadership and prefer being closer to the decision-making process rather than operating inside a large corporate finance structure.
A Financial Leader Who Enjoys Coaching Entrepreneurs
You like helping non-financial founders understand their numbers and turn financial insights into practical business actions.
An Operator Who Connects Numbers to Strategy
You naturally link financial performance to pricing, staffing, operational efficiency, and growth planning.
Someone Who Values Measurable Outcomes
You enjoy seeing tangible results from your work—stronger margins, healthier cash flow, and more financially disciplined businesses.
A Professional Who Thrives in Accountability-Driven Environments
You are comfortable setting financial expectations, tracking progress, and holding business owners accountable to their commitments.
Someone Who Wants to Influence Multiple Businesses
Instead of working inside one company, you enjoy helping many business owners improve their financial performance and decision-making.
This position requires direct financial leadership, candid conversations, and measurable results. It may not be the right fit if you:
Prefer traditional accounting roles focused primarily on compliance and reporting.
Avoid challenging business owners when financial discipline is lacking.
Prefer highly structured corporate environments.
Dislike accountability around financial metrics and performance targets.
Prefer working behind the scenes rather than advising business leaders directly.
Have never influenced the financial outcomes of a growing business.
National Impact
Help law firm owners build profitable, financially disciplined businesses.
Executive-Level Influence
Work directly with business owners on decisions that shape their companies.
Remote Leadership Role
Operate as a senior financial leader in a flexible remote environment.
Proven Framework
Leverage a system and curriculum already helping law firms scale successfully.
High-Accountability Culture
Work with a team that values results, discipline, and measurable progress.
If you are an execution-focused leader who thrives on accountability and enjoys helping business owners follow through on what matters most, this role will challenge and reward you. Apply only if you are ready to lead from the front and deliver real results.
