Position Summary

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to women across the lifespan. This role includes preventive care, management of acute and chronic gynecologic conditions, obstetric care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
  • Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditions
  • Perform routine gynecologic examinations and preventive screenings
  • Conduct office-based and operative procedures within scope of practice
  • Perform deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections, as indicated
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and results
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Practice Setting

  • Hospital and/or outpatient clinic setting
  • Call coverage as required by practice model
  • May include inpatient, outpatient, or combined responsibilities

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
  • DEA registration or eligibility
