Provider’s Role with the Company:
Assist with the administration of chemotherapy and radiation, as well as supportive care and treatment for patient symptoms
In consultation with physicians and specialists, Oncology RN will formulate a goal-directed plan of care and establish treatment priorities based on patient needs and the availability of resources.
Examine and assess the full health of patients, focusing on physical, mental and emotional status, as well as nutrition, pain, and family involvement.
Monitor, evaluate and record the treatment results.
Assist patients, and their families, in understanding the disease, the treatment plan, and any possible side effects.
Advise patients on disease prevention and personal care.
Provides support and guidance throughout patient’s treatment, linking families to healthcare services and communicates with the doctors on behalf of the patient.
Background Profile:
Registered Nurse/RN
License and Board Certification in state of NY
3-4 Years or more of oncology experience preferred
Team-oriented & outstanding communication skills
