The People Operations Manager is a foundational role at Nevis, owning the systems, processes, and day-to-day operations that power our global team.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems end to end, and takes pride in building scalable, thoughtful people and workplace operations. You’ll sit at the centre of the business — ensuring Nevis is compliant, well-run, and a genuinely great place to work as we scale internationally.
You’ll work closely with leadership, operations team and external partners, with real impact and visibility from day one.
Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and employee records.
Act as the first point of contact for employee questions across policies, benefits, expenses, workplace needs, and global mobility.
Own and improve employee benefits, perks, and expense processes, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and employee-friendly experience.
Run the physical workplace and office operations, including vendors, access, supplies, budgets, and day-to-day problem solving.
Manage people systems and tools (HRIS, benefits platforms, expense tools, payroll inputs) in partnership with Finance and external providers.
Own global mobility and relocation processes, including visas, work permits, relocations, and cross-border onboarding.
Ensure compliance with local employment laws, immigration requirements, and people best practices as Nevis scales globally.
Build the foundations of a scalable, best-in-class People Operations function as the company grows beyond Series A.
3–5+ years’ experience in People Operations, HR Operations, Workplace Management, or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
Strong operational mindset with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Proven experience owning benefits, perks, expense management, and global mobility / relocation processes.
Highly proactive and resourceful; comfortable operating with ambiguity and solving problems independently.
Hands-on and humble — happy to pitch in wherever needed, with no task too small.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; trusted, empathetic, and discreet.
Experience working with HR systems, expense tools, payroll coordination, and external vendors.
Experience supporting internationally distributed teams or cross-border employment setups.

Prior exposure to immigration, visa, or relocation programmes at scale.
Experience building or maturing People Operations functions in early-stage companies.
