Oracle Database Administrator - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases, primarily Oracle 19c and 23ai

• Administer and optimize Oracle environments using tools such as OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, AWR, RAC, multitenancy, and Autonomous Databases

• Manage and support database platforms running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud@Customer

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot incidents, and proactively address operational risks

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability

• Apply database security best practices, including user management, roles, auditing, and data protection

• Collaborate closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring clear communication around changes, incidents, and improvements

• Create and maintain runbooks, change documentation, and operational procedures

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering Oracle 19c and/or 23ai databases

• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL

• Practical experience with OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, AWR, RAC, multitenancy, and Autonomous DBs

• Solid Linux administration skills, including shell scripting

• Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

• Strong expertise in performance tuning and optimization

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Experience implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions

• Good understanding of database security principles and user lifecycle management

A significant advantage would be  

• Experience with Dbvisit

• Prior exposure to Exadata Cloud@Customer architecture and operations
