Based in Bristol, UK, Weredog is an adult product design and production facility focusing on the fantasy and fringe markets. We manufacture our products in-house and operate a growing global e-commerce platform.
Our team includes people from a wide range of creative and technical backgrounds, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming, inclusive workplace. Weredog is an LGBTQ+ friendly company, and many of our staff come from alternative, creative, and maker communities.
We are looking for a PHP developer with strong WordPress and WooCommerce experience to help maintain and expand our internal systems and e-commerce platform. The role covers a wide range of technical work, from developing internal systems to troubleshooting equipment when needed.
This role is fully on-site at our Bristol production facility. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.
Alongside maintaining our WooCommerce store, you will work extensively on custom internal tools used by our production and operations teams.
We have built a custom WordPress-based backend system that manages the lifecycle of our products, including production instructions, tracking and quality control logging. These tools are used daily by our team and are critical to how the company operates.
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving this system while helping us develop new tools that streamline our operations.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys solving practical problems and building systems that people rely on every day. The work ranges from developing new features in our internal tools to helping troubleshoot technical issues across the workshop when they arise.
This role works best for someone who enjoys being hands-on and solving a wide range of technical problems.
Some days you might be developing features for our internal systems or improving our WooCommerce store. Other days you might be helping troubleshoot an issue on the workshop floor or fixing a printer that has stopped cooperating.
We’re a small team and our systems support real production work, so we value people who are practical, curious, and comfortable taking ownership of technical problems from start to finish.
