Planning Engineer
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop comprehensive global timeline for the project
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software, considering factors such as equipment lead times, construction timelines, permitting, co-activity, commissioning activities…
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks that could impact the project timeline
- Identify and monitor critical path
- Propose solutions for timing optimization during the project realization
- Identify and resolve project roadblocks and bottlenecks, working closely with the project team to find solutions
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders on a regular basis, including providing recommendations for corrective actions
- Facilitate project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely decision-making
- Prepare and communicate 3-weeks look ahead schedule
- Make sure all HSE policies are strictly taken into consideration in the time schedule
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports and lessons learned
- Provide guidance and support to project team members
- Ensure schedule reviews regularly with suppliers and contractors, challenge them, report and follow-up accordingly
- Develop specific time schedule for commissioning and start-up, including resource identification
- Coordinate with Operations for commissioning and start-up
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in project planning, specifically in the industrial or manufacturing sector
- Proficient in using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Strong understanding of industrial processes, equipment, and construction methodologies
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of successfully managing time schedule management on industrial projects from inception to completion
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their application in industrial settings
- Computer skills:
- Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Proficient in project management software: MS project, Primavera.
