Responsibilities
- New client launches and graphics: work closely with the VP of Creative and the Creative Director to give notes on client launch videos, outro graphics and graphics packages.
- Updating graphics: work with the Senior Creative Project Manager to assign updates for and external stakeholders regarding clients' new offer and deals for upcoming and current campaigns.
- Creative Notes: leave notes on creative edits to optimize for creative performance. Leave notes on color correcting within ads. Review exports for quality control.
- Communicate: with the Creative Director and VP of Creative about video processes and needs. Be an intermediary between Strategy team and Post Production team. Communicate with other Post teams within multi departmental projects.
- Workflow: manage the bandwidth of the Post Production team, switching priorities as client needs shifts (on a weekly and daily basis). Assign editors using internal dashboard to best allocate resources and distribute workload; build new documents and spreadsheets to optimize workflows.
- Manage: the Post Production team. Have regular meetings with each team member to set goals, and be a support system to help grow their editing skills.
- Editor training: onboard new editors to our processes, and build out documentation for onboarding as processes change and adapt. Develop learning sessions for techniques to better expand the Editor’s knowledge of Direct Response editing and technical skills (Premiere Pro and After Effects).
- Hiring: work with the Creative Director and Recruiting team to hire for open Post Production positions.
- Editor tech support: provide solutions and help troubleshoot editing issues as they arise. Work with the IT team to resolve technical issues for remote workstations.
- Production: Work as the intermediary between Production and Post for all internal productions. Assign projects to Assistant Editors to be prepped for edits, troubleshoot any production issues, set standards for production to post workflow.
- Server maintenance: know where assets are on the server and their folder structures; ensure that file organization is maintained and preserved, create new folders for clients for launches.
- Account Planning: plan weekly bandwidth with various teams, and understand high level the priorities and needs for each client.
- Video Emergency: act as the last line of defense whenever a quick video is needed; take initiative to resolve any issues that may hit.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Direct Response (direct-to-consumer/e-commerce/call-to-action) social media advertising space - specifically videos for Instagram and Facebook.
- Understanding of performance creative best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 3-4+ years professional work experience as a Video Editor working specifically with brands, with hands-on experience with editing software including Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro
- 2+ years work experience as a Post Production Supervisor, primarily in training editors and managing projects for clients in an ad agency setting
- Portfolio of e-commerce/call-to-action editing and motion graphics work - please only apply if you can provide a portfolio (personal website, Vimeo, etc.)
- Ability to work to a tight schedule and manage multiple editors and projects at once
- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects
- Ability to create or adapt workflow processes for the post production team
- Facebook Ads Manager experience is not required, but familiarity is preferred
