About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here)

About the role
(Hybrid)

As our Principal Business Operations Manager/ Programme Manager, you’ll sit right at the crossroads of strategy and execution within our Audience and Loyalty  goal area. Think of yourself as the person who turns big, bold plans into clear, actionable reality - bringing focus, momentum, and just the right amount of operational magic ✨.

This is a senior individual contributor role with serious influence. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders as a trusted advisor, programme managing complex, high-impact initiatives and building scalable ways of working that help the business move faster, smarter, and with confidence. From AI-powered tooling to crisp operating rhythms, your work will quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly) raise the bar across Skyscanner.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partnering with senior leaders: Acting as a trusted advisor to Goal Owners across Marketing/Search/Loyalty, you’ll support prioritisation, planning, and alignment - helping teams focus on what really matters.
  • Turning strategy into action: You’ll ensure high-impact initiatives stay tightly aligned to company strategy, spotting gaps, risks, and opportunities early.
  • Driving execution clarity: You’ll cut through complexity to bring focus and momentum to cross-functional working groups, enabling confident decision-making.
  • Owning visibility and reporting: You’ll be the go-to for progress, risks, and value delivery -making sure leaders always have a clear line of sight.
  • Improving how we work: You’ll identify systemic inefficiencies and introduce smarter, scalable methodologies (Working Backwards, Lean, JTBD - applied pragmatically).
  • Leading complex programmes: You’ll deliver cross-functional programmes where ambiguity is high, ownership is shared, and strong execution makes all the difference.

About you

  • Deeply experienced in Business Operations, Program Management, Internal Consulting, or strategic delivery in a global tech environment. Travel and Marketing experience? Even better - you already speak our language 🌍.
  • Execution-minded: You have a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives from idea to impact.
  • Comfortable with complexity: You can zoom into the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture - and know when each is needed.
  • Tech-savvy collaborator: You’re confident working with tech teams and translating technical concepts into meaningful business value.
  • Structured and pragmatic: You bring rigour, prioritisation, and clear thinking -even when things feel messy or ambiguous.
  • Influential communicator: You build trust quickly, challenge constructively, and can align senior stakeholders with ease.
  • Culturally aligned: You’re supportive, ambitious, curious, and fun to work with (bonus points for an MBA or equivalent).
