Principal Consultant (Senior Business Analyst - Smart City / Home, IOT)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience : 11+ Years
• 10+ years of experience in consulting, product, or senior business analysis with a dedicated focus on smart buildings and IoT.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in IoT architectures, ecosystems, and protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoRaWAN, BACnet, Modbus).
• A proven track record of defining product strategy and managing complex roadmaps for digital/IoT platforms.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and creating detailed user stories.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for technical and business audiences.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus.

• Experience with digital twins, AI-enabled building operations, and sustainability certifications (LEED, WELL, BREEAM).
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), automation systems, and smart city standards.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• A passionate, innovative mindset with a focus on user-centric design and sustainability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define the product vision and strategy for our IoT platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and digital transformation objectives.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders including business leaders, engineering, design, and external partners to develop and deliver a future-proof product roadmap.
• Establish and manage structured Use Case intake and prioritization processes, and partner with business teams to co-create business cases and track ROI.
• Monitor industry trends such as net-zero policies and AI-enabled building management, translating insights into product features.
• Translate product strategy into a prioritized backlog and own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams (Business, Engineering, UX/UI, Security) to deliver platform features, championing scalability and reusability.
• Conduct in-depth market research on facility management and IoT technologies, benchmarking against competitors to identify opportunities.
• Drive product adoption by engaging stakeholders, tracking KPIs, and facilitating workshops and training sessions.
• Evaluate IoT sensor/hardware catalogues and vendor offerings for compatibility, interoperability, and scalability.
• Support business development by preparing proposals and RFPs, and provide client advisory on smart building strategies and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
