This position is responsible for operating and optimising the process plant Crushing and Milling circuit in accordance with the Critical Variable Sheet, training manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Informs Process Shift Coordinator of all unrectified variances in a timely manner
- Responsible for optimising unit cell performance.
- Responsible for ensuring all weightometers are clean at all times.
- Report equipment that is damaged, worn, faulty or showing any other unusual signs.
- Assists with mechanical/electrical tasks as required ensuring maximum availability of the Crushing and Milling circuit, including PM tasks, jaw gap measurements, adjusting crusher jaws, changing rollers, adjusting glands, cyclone maintenance and mill inspections/ repairs.
- Complete all relevant documentation to ensure accurate record keeping e.g. log sheets, logbooks and checklists.
- Actively participate in all professional development and continuous improvement activities.
- Liaise with other operators and plant personnel to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
- OSH approved Forklift license, or similar would be well regarded
- Full New Zealand working rights / Visa required
Experience
- 1 year’s processing plant experience, or similar
- Forklift, crane, truck and skid steer loader experience an advantage
- Prior experience working in Sag/Ball milling would be an advantage
