We are seeking an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to ensure the execution of the assigned Portfolio and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders in ensuring delivery of maximum value via each of the awarded contract/commercial deal (post-award phase).
Ensures timely delivery of materials required to meet with customer’s work plans whilst delivering value improvements through leverage of Assala Gabon’s volume of purchasing spend supply chain and procurement processes review.
Key responsabilities
- To function as a team member in development of realistic procurement plans
- Conducts tenders, evaluate bids& drive negotiations with suppliers in accordance with the Contracting and Procurement Processes as an overall guidance
- Manages the procurement of materials requirements in area of responsibility, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with the planned schedule and value for money
- Ensure full knowledge of corporate portfolio suppliers and product range and spares
- Ensure timely bid evaluation as per the agreed KPIs, based on careful analysis of total life costs, whilst considering not only purchasing price but also quality, technical specifications, delivery, reliability, operating and maintenance costs to arrive at sound commercial decisions
- Identify materials supply agreements opportunities for spares and equipment from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Ensures that each agreement represents the best value for money deal for the Company in collaboration with the contracting Team
- Review the Procurement strategy by materials category for a more efficient management in term of Lead time and Cost saving opportunities together with the Contracting Team
Requirements
Essential:
- A degree level (Business/ Engineering) or proven experience within CP
- Highly tuned commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals
- Proven experience in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation
- Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance is a ‘must have’ in all CP
- Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation issues
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
Preferred:
- Mcips (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification would be preferred
- Experience in the oil and gas industry would be preferred
