Awardco is reimagining the workplace to be more rewarding, supportive, and fun for everyone. As one of the fastest growing companies in the employee experience industry, our mission is to help employees love what they do, love where they work, and get recognized for their efforts—especially our own employees! And as winners of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work, Best in Brightest in the Nation, and Great Place to Work, we do much more than talk the talk.

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Data Platform Team. This is a critical role focused on building foundational data infrastructure, modeling, and tooling necessary to power Awardco's growth, ensure critical client-facing performance standards, and unlock the future potential of our AI/ML initiatives.

You will be instrumental in transforming our current data architecture by driving strategies that directly impact performance, cost efficiency, and innovation across the entire organization. You’ll partner closely with other platform teams and other stream-aligned product teams to ensure our data foundation is scalable, reliable, and accessible.

This role requires a proven track record in internal platform product management, specifically within the data domain, with at least some understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, and analytics enablement.

What You Will Do:

  • Own and drive the long-term vision and strategy for Awardco's core Data Platform that powers analytic products, including the data warehouse, ingestion pipelines, and core data models.
  • Develop and communicate the roadmap, prioritizing initiatives like performance optimization, cost reduction, tech debt reduction, and establishing core data models over custom, reactive client requests.
  • Establish clear KPIs for the Data Platform, focusing on data quality, pipeline reliability, query performance, cost efficiency, and the velocity of downstream consuming teams.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand their data needs and deliver clean, scalable, and efficient data models and tooling that accelerate their product development.
  • Establish clear best practices for data modeling, quality assurance, and data accessibility, setting the standard for how data is managed and consumed across the organization.
  • Translate the platform strategy into clear user stories and requirements for the Data Engineering team, managing feature acceptance and ensuring transparent communication across stakeholders.
  • Lead acceptance testing, validating data pipeline reliability and model accuracy against defined business outcomes.
  • Ensure all data platform services, APIs, and models are clearly documented for both technical consumers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Explain complex data infrastructure and performance issues to executive and non-technical audiences in a simple and understandable way.

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2 years specifically managing a Data Platform, Data Warehouse, Internal Analytics Tooling, or Data Infrastructure product.
  • Deep familiarity with modern data stack concepts: Data Warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling (dbt, etc.), and data governance.
  • Proven ability to act as the voice of the internal customer to translate their data needs into a high-impact platform roadmap.
  • Proven ability to define and measure success for an internal platform product, focusing on metrics like system reliability, performance, cost optimization, and developer/analyst velocity.
  • Strong technical acumen: you can confidently discuss data schemas, query performance, and pipeline architecture with engineers. SQL proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities from multiple internal teams.
  • Ability to identify organizational data needs using qualitative and quantitative analysis of system performance, cost, and user velocity.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
