About the Team:
Taara extends and amplifies global communications infrastructure using beams of light to deliver high-speed connectivity. Born at X, Google’s moonshot factory, Taara works with telecommunications providers, partners, and internal teams to plan, deploy, and operate optical wireless networks around the world.
As Taara scales deployments and evolves its software tools, we are looking for a Product Manager- Software Products to help shape, prioritize, and deliver product capabilities that support real-world installation, monitoring, and operational workflows.
About the Role:
This role will focus on owning and evolving key features of Taara’s software products, working closely with engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and users. You will translate real customer and internal needs into clear product requirements. The work is suited for someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, collaborating cross-functionally, and has experience with technical products.
How you will make 10x impact:
Own the scoping, definition, and delivery of key software features across Taara’s products.
Translate customer and internal needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Drive product road mapping by defining priorities, sequencing releases, and aligning stakeholders on what to build next and why.
Partner closely with engineering and UX design to deliver features that balance technical feasibility, usability, and business outcomes.
Work with customers and internal teams to understand real-world use cases, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to support product launches, enablement, and adoption.
Help shape and validate analysis, reporting, and visualization features, including exploration of AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.
Monitor product usage and feedback to inform iteration and continuous improvement.
Product requirements are clear, actionable, and well-aligned across teams.
Engineering teams build with confidence and minimal rework.
Features ship in a thoughtful sequence aligned to real user needs and operational priorities.
Customer feedback and usage insights meaningfully influence product decisions.
User experience improvements are measurable and reflected in reduced friction, faster adoption, and clearer workflows across the software products.
What you should have:
3+ years of experience in product management for software or technical products.
1+ years of experience in a high growth SaaS environment.
Experience translating customer needs into product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
Ability to conduct user interviews and synthesize insights into clear product direction.
Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and customer-facing teams.
Experience using data, feedback, or product signals to inform prioritization and iteration.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain product decisions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.
It would be great if you also had these:
Familiarity with technical systems, infrastructure products, or complex workflows is a plus.
Comfort operating in startup environments and managing ambiguity.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
