We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Norman, OK. In this role, you will oversee daily production operations, lead a team of production associates, and ensure that all manufacturing processes meet our quality standards and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will be a decisive leader with strong organizational skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring schedules are met and production targets are achieved
- Lead, train, and mentor production team members, providing performance feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Monitor production processes and equipment performance, identifying and resolving operational issues promptly
- Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Analyze production data and key performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Manage inventory levels, material flow, and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure products meet established specifications and customer requirements
- Communicate effectively with management, maintenance, and other departments to coordinate operations
- Prepare production reports and documentation, maintaining accurate records of output, downtime, and incidents
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of lean manufacturing practices
- Must be able to work 2nd shift hours (2:30pm - midnight (may fluctuate based on business needs) and some weekends)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree or 10+ years of experience working in manufacturing environments
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience in managing production teams
- Working knowledge in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Proficiency in analyzing production metrics and performance data
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and OSHA compliance requirements
- Experience with quality management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experienced in coil assembly or fabrication in a manufacturing environment
- Background in training and developing production staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
