We have an exciting opportunity for two Project Managers to join our Transformation team. This new role partners the business units and functional specialists from across the Culina Group and ensures quality outcome is delivered and aligned with strategic objectives.

This position requires strong logistics knowledge (Warehouse & Transport, with experience of underpinning systems and back-office functions) to challenge assumptions and ensure that warehouse and transport solutions are implemented right first time. While not responsible for day-to-day operational performance, the Project Manager provides impartial oversight to keep projects on track, mitigate risks, and maintain focus on benefits realisation.

In addition to being responsible for the implementation of agreed projects, this role will also include providing expertise and input into the “pre-project” phase, be that working with Business Development and/or business owners, to help scope projects sufficiently for an effective handover to implementation. Production of outline plans based on limited data as well as many assumptions, will also be required. Therefore, the successful candidate must possess a challenging nature, focused solely on the quality of business outcomes.

The role works closely with operational leaders, suppliers, and functional experts to ensure readiness, adoption, and smooth transition into business-as-usual. Success is measured by the achievement of agreed outcomes, not just delivery of tasks, ensuring that projects create real value for the Business Unit.

Key responsibilities of a Project Manager:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling – Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure structured delivery.
  • Scope & Requirements Management – Define and control project scope at the pre-project phase and upon handover from project owners/Business Development, ensuring requirements, assumptions and outline plans are clearly documented and agreed.
  • Quality Assurance of Deliverables – Validate that outputs meet agreed standards and align with operational needs, leveraging logistics expertise.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain project integrity.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Facilitate communication between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Budget Tracking & Control – Monitor project costs against budget, ensuring financial compliance and timely reporting.
  • Change Control – Manage change requests through formal processes to protect scope, timelines, and quality.
  • Governance & Reporting – Prepare and present accurate project status reports, dashboards, and updates to the Programme Manager and PMO.
  • Testing & Validation Support – Coordinate UAT and operational readiness checks to confirm solutions work as intended.
  • Handover & Documentation – Ensure all project documentation, lessons learned, and transition plans are completed for BAU adoption.

  • Projects delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

  • Risks and issues managed effectively with minimal impact on delivery
  • Quality of deliverables associated with the pre-project phase of projects
  • Quality of deliverables validated against agreed requirements
