Location: Remote (USA)
Department: Provider Operations
Reports to: Recruiting Lead
Job Type: 1099 Contractor - Full-Time (40 hours per week; 4 month contract)
Wheel Medical Group is seeking a high-velocity Provider Ops Associate to join our team as a full-time (40 hours/week) 1099 contractor. This role is for a dedicated operator who will own the clinician journey from the moment they begin onboarding through their first 90 days of active patient-facing practice.
Wheel Medical Group is a physician-owned professional corporation that serves patients across the United States; evolving the traditional care ecosystem by equipping the nation's most innovative companies with a premier platform to deliver high-quality virtual care at scale. We offer proven strategies and cutting-edge technologies to foster consumer engagement, build brand loyalty, and maximize return on investment.
The Provider Ops Associate is the primary driver of clinician "ramp-up." Once our credentialing team clears a clinician, you take the baton to ensure they are trained, integrated, and performing at peak capacity.
This is a hands-on execution role for a startup veteran who loves data-driven workflows and elite-level professional communication.
The Clinical Hand-off: Seamlessly transition clinicians from the credentialing phase into their active onboarding and training workflows.
90-Day Execution: Guide clinicians through a structured 30/60/90-day success roadmap, ensuring they hit specific productivity and quality milestones.
Process Optimization: Constantly audit the onboarding funnel to identify and remove bottlenecks, reducing the "time-to-activation" for new providers.
Data Interpretation: Monitor and report on clinician success metrics. You will be expected to interpret trends in engagement and performance data to suggest (and implement) workflow improvements.
High-Touch Communication: Act as the direct point of contact for clinicians in their first 3 months, providing clear, concise, and professional guidance via email and video.
Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience in Onboarding, or a high-level Operational role.
Startup Grit: You have worked in a fast-paced startup environment and are comfortable with rapid pivots and building "v1" processes.
Exceptional Operator: You are a "doer" who finds satisfaction in checking boxes, improving efficiency, and maintaining an organized pipeline.
Data Fluency: Strong ability to pull insights from Airtable, Looker & Google sheets to inform your decisions
Communication: Sophisticated verbal and written skills; you are comfortable engaging with MD, DOs and NPs as a professional peer.
Nice to have: Past experience working in a healthcare environment & company.
