At Leapwork, we are at the center of the most important shift happening in enterprise software right now. AI is changing how software is built across every industry and every enterprise on the planet is racing to show what it actually delivered. We sit at that intersection, and what makes us different is the combination no one else brings: agentic, application agnostic, and deterministic by design across the full software delivery lifecycle.
We are trusted by some of the world's most respected brands across financial services, pharma, manufacturing, and retail. Our platform spans agentic AI orchestration and proven visual automation across every application estate. Our AI Your Way™ approach means we amplify what enterprises already have rather than replacing it, meeting them where they are and moving at the pace the business demands.
Backed by KKR, DN Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Headline, we are scaling fast and the market opportunity in front of us is significant. If you want to do the best work of your career at a company where the product is genuinely mission critical to the enterprises that run the world, we would love to talk.
We are headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark with offices in Boston, London, and Gurgaon and local presence across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The Role:
As a QA Architect, you will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment using Agile methodologies. You are a highly experienced quality engineering leader with deep expertise in performance, scalability, and architectural quality practices. You understand what it takes to build quality into products early, not just validate it at the end.
You are great at seeing the bigger technical picture across products and platforms, identifying risks before they become issues, and defining robust test strategies that ensure our solutions scale reliably in enterprise environments. You will play a key role in shaping performance engineering practices across Leapwork’s portfolio, including Rush, AI Studio, and future platform capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining and driving the overall quality architecture strategy across products, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead the design and implementation of performance engineering practices, standards, and frameworks across the organization.
- Define performance baselines, SLAs, scalability thresholds, and quality gates for key product areas and platform capabilities.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams early in the development lifecycle to ensure systems are designed for performance, resilience, and scale.
- Own the strategy for performance, load, stress, endurance, and concurrency testing across products and services.
- Evaluate and introduce the right tools, frameworks, and environments for performance and scalability validation.
- Drive architectural reviews from a quality and non-functional testing perspective, identifying risks related to concurrency, infrastructure bottlenecks, service dependencies, and AI workload scaling.
- Establish robust metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor and assess non-functional quality across releases.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers and teams in performance engineering, automation strategy, and quality best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to strengthen testability, observability, and continuous quality practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive initiatives to shift quality engineering left, enabling earlier detection of scalability and performance risks.
- Support release readiness by ensuring products are validated not only for functionality, but also for enterprise-scale usage and operational reliability.
Technical Qualifications / Role Requirements (Must - Have Skills)
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering, with significant experience in test architecture, performance engineering, or scalability validation.
- Strong experience in defining and implementing test strategies at an architectural level across complex products or platforms.
- Extensive hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6, or similar modern frameworks.
- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, including load, stress, spike, endurance, and concurrency testing.
- Experience defining performance benchmarks, SLAs, KPIs, and scalability thresholds for enterprise-grade applications.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, messaging systems, and cloud-native architectures from a quality and performance perspective.
- Experience with Web applications, APIs, services, and platform-level testing, including non-functional validation.
- Ability to identify and assess performance bottlenecks across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, observability tools, and integrating non-functional testing into release workflows.
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile & DevOps processes, source control, databases, and at least one programming or scripting language.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence engineering decisions and drive cross-functional alignment on quality architecture and performance strategy.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Having knowledge of tools such as Jira, Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppInsights, or similar monitoring and pipeline tools is a plus.
- Experience with AI-enabled platforms, compute-intensive workflows, or highly concurrent enterprise systems is a plus.
