Position Description
Schoox is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will contribute to the quality of our platform by designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests that ensure reliability and scalability across our platform.
You will work closely with developers, QA Business Analysts, and product stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective automated test coverage. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced agile environment, you will play an active role in improving our automation practices, frameworks, and overall testing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Selenium WebDriver.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to test planning and coverage.
- Design, implement, and improve test automation frameworks and tools.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring clear and actionable reporting.
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability of existing functionality.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and practices.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
- Experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or similar test automation tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design, and automation methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile and fast-paced development team.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
- Academic Qualifications - having a university degree.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively identifying quality improvements, risks, and gaps in test coverage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Experience with test automation framework design or maintenance.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
- Exposure to SaaS platforms or learning technologies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to enhance testing and development workflows.
