Nevoya is North America's leading next-generation electric trucking carrier, transforming logistics through AI-native operations and relentless customer focus. The company builds and uses proprietary technology to deliver zero-emissions carrier services to Fortune 500 shippers with superior economics and service to legacy diesel operators. The company has operations in California and Texas, and is backed by globally-renowned investors including Lowercarbon Capital.
About the Role:
Regional GMs report directly to Nevoya’s CEO and are fully accountable for the success of their region. This role owns the P&L and the day-to-day operations across California. The Regional GM is responsible for ensuring profitability, drivers are supported, dispatch is running smoothly, loads are covered, customers are satisfied, and issues are resolved in real time.
This is a deeply hands-on leadership role. Regional GMs must understand how the operation actually runs, including how drivers experience their day, how dispatch decisions impact utilization and service, and how loads move from planning through execution. When things break, the Regional GM steps in. Jumping into calls, working directly with drivers or dispatchers, or handling customer issues personally.
Regional GMs operate as the functional CEO of their region. While they partner with centralized teams across Transportation, Operations, Safety & Compliance, GTM, Engineering and HR, they are expected to take ownership and make things happen locally, even when resources are constrained or information is imperfect.
What You Will Do:
Own regional P&L performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and contribution margin.
Run day to day operations for your region, ensuring drivers are supported, dispatch is effective, and loads are executed reliably.
Work directly with drivers to resolve issues, improve retention, and ensure a strong driver experience.
Partner closely with dispatch to optimize fleet utilization, manage coverage, and solve real time operational problems.
Step in personally when issues arise that impact drivers, customers, or service levels, including going in person when needed.
Ensure on time delivery, high customer satisfaction, and strong operational metrics across the region.
Act as the primary escalation point for operational, driver, and customer issues in your region.
Collaborate cross functionally with Safety, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and GTM to improve tools, processes, and outcomes.
Use data daily to monitor performance, identify issues early, and make fast, informed decisions.
Build trust with frontline teams by being present, responsive, and willing to do the work alongside them.
How Success Is Measured:
Regional profitability and contribution margin.
Fleet utilization and dispatch efficiency.
On time delivery and service reliability.
Customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score.
Driver satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
5 or more years of experience owning both revenue and cost sides of a P&L.
Direct experience managing frontline, field based teams
Strong operational judgment and the ability to solve problems quickly in high pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to operate in fast moving, ambiguous environments where plans change and problems surface unexpectedly.
Exceptional cross functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations, safety, compliance, engineering, and GTM.
High comfort with metrics, financial reporting, and operational data.
Strong Excel skills required, SQL experience a plus
Founder level sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
Nice to Have:
Experience working in high growth or startup environments.
