We are seeking an experienced and proactive Sales Manager – Personal Care to onboard new business with new customers and manage and grow key customer accounts in the Personal Care segment based at our Hornsby site. This is a dynamic role involving end-to-end account management, internal cross-functional coordination, and strategic customer engagement. The role thrives with the component of business development with both existing and new clients, contributing to the overall growth of the Personal Care portfolio.
Account Management:
- Own and manage key Personal Care customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Build strong relationships with customers’ Procurement, NPD, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Develop strategic account plans with a forward-looking perspective, aligned with customer objectives.
- Conduct regular business review meetings to assess performance, identify opportunities, and drive customer satisfaction.
- Lead customer engagement across NPD (New Product Development) and EPD (Existing Product Development) projects.
- Drive customer retention initiatives and deliver excellent service to maintain long-term relationships.
Internal Coordination & Strategic Input:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including NPD, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality to ensure seamless project execution and supply performance.
- Contribute accurate demand forecasts and updates into the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to support production planning and inventory management.
- Work with the Finance team on timely pricing reviews, contract updates, and commercial terms.
- Support profit optimisation strategies and margin uplift initiatives through pricing, mix management, and cost-to-serve analysis.
- Act as the internal voice of the customer to align cross-functional teams with project goals and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG account management, preferably in Personal Care or related sectors.
- Personal Care Industry knowledge is a must
- Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, commercial finance, and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
