Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, this internship focuses on security governance, documentation, and regulatory analysis rather than operational ownership. The role provides hands-on experience helping mature a security program by improving documentation, supporting compliance preparation, and assisting with risk and framework analysis.

Projects and scope of work may include:
Building and maintaining security program documentation in Confluence, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), standards, and security playbooks
Translating security roadmap initiatives into clear, structured, audit-ready documentation
Researching security frameworks and regulatory requirements and developing decision trees to support applicability and prioritization decisions
Assisting with compliance preparation, including organizing audit evidence, mapping controls to frameworks, and tracking identified gaps
Supporting high-level infrastructure and security reviews through documentation, system mapping, and risk identification (no production system changes)
Helping structure documentation and materials that improve internal understanding of security program maturity and priorities
The intern will collaborate closely with Security leadership and gain exposure to how security programs are structured, documented, and maintained within a growing technology company.

Learn how organizations structure and document security programs and compliance frameworks

Strong written communication and documentation skills
Ability to analyze requirements and present clear, structured conclusions
High attention to detail and comfort handling sensitive or confidential information
Interest in security governance, risk, and compliance
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams
