Care of Chan is looking for a tenacious, charismatic, and highly structured Senior Account Manager. The Senior Account Manager owns relationships with a number of client accounts to create meaningful, purpose-driven events that are strategic, cohesive, and unmistakably on-brand. This role reports into the Director of Production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and communications with a select set of the Agency’s event production clients to drive forward timelines and anticipate client needs across multiple active projects. Cross-collaborate with other departments and individuals to create strategies and ensure execution aligns with the event client’s specific vision and goals.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate an in-house Production Manager direct report, with an eye for their growth and development.
- Support New Business Team in articulating event vision to clients to position Care of Chan as the best fit for the scope. For return Clients, support the programming and creative teams in the creation of strategic proposals and plans by way of pressure testing concepts against Client Account knowledge, to ensure continuity and brand consistency.
- Once programs are approved by the client, lead the client relationship and communications to ensure that we bring our client’s vision to life. Serve as the primary point of contact with clients end-to-end by leading all client calls, presentations, and correspondences (email, text).
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure that all account events and productions are executed to Client and Care of Chan’s standards. Advise the client with expertise and secure client approvals and feedback in accordance with our workback timeline. Own problem solving and expectation-setting with clients during production on behalf of the team.
- Travel and attend client events and productions, serving as the main Client point of contact onsite, both for the core Client team and their Executives. Handle VIP Talent and VIP Guests as necessary.
- As necessary and based on the size of the Account, support new business intake for returning and/or select clients by leading intake calls, overseeing the creation and presentation of client proposals, and assigning confirmed business to the appropriate teams in an efficient manner.
- Build a strong relationship and understanding of clients through research, attendance of their events and happenings, and regular contact.
- Proactively research and pursue opportunities for clients that will push their brands forward. Support ideation and outreach to potential partners, vendors and talent on behalf of the client. Foster relationships with key vendors, organizations and collaborators.
- Track client and account satisfaction to retain and grow account business for the Agency.
Requirements:
- 5 years of strong client relations, project management, experiential marketing, and sponsorship relations experience in an Agency setting, preferably with fashion, media, entertainment, lifestyle, or hospitality brands.
- 3 years of production experience required, ranging from large-scale custom experiences to small-scale turnkey events.
- 3 years people management experience required.
- Prior Agency experience required.
- Must live in the NY metro area: our team is required to be in the office three days per week
- Willingness to travel; many of our events are in key markets across the country (travel approximately 20% of the time)
- History of building positive relationships, both internally and externally – finding opportunities to make valuable contributions with every interaction.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a proactive approach and a quick, creative mind. Must be able to present and communicate with senior clients and Executives in a way that instills confidence and builds trust.
- Agile and nimble manager who can work on several accounts or projects at once, with ability to prioritize next steps and deliverables.
- Foundational knowledge of restaurant culture, food and marketing and how the opportunities available can impact a company’s larger, strategic business goals
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, Slack, and other project tools such as Asana, Docusign, Adobe Suite, etc.

This role is a hybrid position, based in the New York metro area. Our team is required to work from our office in Lower Manhattan three days per week, in addition to onsite event requirements (willing to travel approximately 20% of the time).

The base salary range for this role is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00.
In accordance with NY law, the range provided is Care of Chan's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, and skills.
