Having prior CI experience in Oncology (esp. NMIBC cancer) will be preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
Competitive Intelligence:
- Tracking, identifying and compiling market, competitors or epidemiology-based information related to the pharma/biotech/medical devices industries
- Developing strategic implications of - traffic-light- news reports, including applicable team actions; managing communications with the team and external customers as necessary • Conducting phone interviews with external experts (HCPs, Payers etc.)
Epidemiology:
- Study target patient pool using prevalence rates, diagnosis rates and drug treatment rates, and develop patient forecasts.
- Should be familiar to derive target patient population by both, prevalence based epidemiology model and sales volume based IMS model
Market Assessment:
- Develop detailed market primers including both evidences based clinical and commercial aspects of an indication
- . For example, competitive marketing and sales strategies for upcoming therapies, potential market opportunity in revenue terms, opportunities for licensing, etc.
Company Profiling:
- Profile key competitors with detailed analysis on their therapeutic focus using publicly available information and paid resources
Conference Coverage:
- Attending key medical and commercial conferences with the objective of analyzing clinical data and speaking to delegates and experts on assigned topics
- Manage Pre-congress planning (via abstract mining) and Post-congress reporting activities
Project Engagement:
- Address all client communication; engage in both off-shore and on-shore relationships; attend kick-off meetings, and present/discuss interim outputs and final deliverables
- Presenting to client audiences via teleconference and/or in face-to-face meeting
Qualifications
An advanced degree (MBA/MPharm etc.) in a life sciences-related field or an undergraduate degree in life sciences with previous commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Additional Information
Must Have Skills
Strong experience in secondary desk research and hands-on experience on syndicated databases (well versed with PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov and other related websites)
Understanding of the treatment paradigms across multiple therapeutic areas. Preference is for Therapy area knowledge and market understanding of Oncology, CVM, Immunology, Rare Diseases and Neurosciences
Good to Have Skills
Understanding of different healthcare settings and reimbursement of medicines in major markets In-depth understanding of a medicine's life cycle including the development, regulatory and commercial aspects of global markets
