As a Senior FP&A Analyst at Hiive, you will play a critical role in shaping how the business understands performance, plans for growth, and makes data-informed financial decisions. You will translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights that guide strategic planning, forecasting, and investment decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, business-minded, and excited to operate in a fast-growing, marketplace-driven fintech environment.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Partnering closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Compliance) to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Building, maintaining, and enhancing financial models. Develop and validate assumptions, scenarios, and sensitivities to support informed decision-making.
Owning management reporting frameworks, including monthly performance reporting, variance analysis, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Conducting deep-dive analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and clearly communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
Supporting annual and quarterly planning processes, including long-range planning and scenario modeling.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements to FP&A processes, financial systems, data quality, and reporting automation. Participates in process redesigns as required.
Conducting ad-hoc reporting on business performance and builds financial models to support key strategic initiatives.
Required Experience:
3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar finance role.
Track record in financial modeling, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets experience.
Strong analytical mindset and business acumen with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Strong interpersonal skills to build great relationships with colleagues, senior leaders and non-financial staff at various levels.
High attention to detail with a strong understanding of data accuracy, controls, and financial rigor.
Preferred Experience:
CPA, CFA (or progress toward designation) considered an asset.
Background in financial markets, trading, or capital markets.
Experience with financial modeling tools (e.g. Adaptive) and Netsuite.
