Senior Design & Proposal Engineer(Process)

Role Overview

The Senior Design & Proposal Engineer, you will serve as the technical and commercial anchor for one of our most vital regions. This is a high-impact leadership role where they will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and winning business strategies. They will oversee the end-to-end proposal lifecycle—from initial RFQ analysis to final submission—while mentoring a dedicated team of engineers to ensure technical excellence, risk mitigation, and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design

• Turn-Key Solutions: Architect comprehensive solutions spanning Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Automation.
• Technical Integrity: Lead the review and validation of P&IDs, hydraulic component selection, and 3D models to ensure alignment with industry standards.
• SME Authority: Provide deep technical expertise in Chemical Injection Skids and Wellhead Control Systems (WHCP).

Proposal & Commercial Strategy

• Bid Management: Lead the execution of international bids, ensuring all proposals are techno-commercially sound and submitted within strict deadlines.
• Risk Mitigation: Strategize during the pre-sales cycle to identify and neutralize potential project execution risks.
• Contractual Oversight: Review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions to protect organizational interests while meeting customer needs.
• Capex Tracking: Collaborate with global OEMs to track Capex programs and proactively align our solutions with future user specifications.

Team Mentorship & Growth

• Quality Assurance: Act as the final gatekeeper for all proposals originating from the Qatar region, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance.
• People Development: Responsible for the grooming, training, and professional development of the proposal team.
• Efficiency Planning: Drive sales team effectiveness by developing integrated tools and streamlined departmental workflows.

Candidate Profile

Technical Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a design/proposal role within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Domain Expertise: Hands-on experience with hydraulic components, instrument tubes/fittings, chemical injection skids, and WHCP.
• Software: Proficiency in P&ID interpretation; working knowledge of AutoCAD or 3D Modeling software is highly preferred.
• Standards: Strong command of international Oil & Gas industry standards and safety codes.
