About the Role

GenZS Recruitment Solutions is hiring a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for a high-traffic B2C / OTT / media platform. This role demands hands-on expertise in infrastructure at scale, automation, security, and reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, ELB/ALB, VPC, IAM, Route53.

• Design high-availability and fault-tolerant systems for streaming workloads.

• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and resource utilization.

2. CI/CD Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Automate deployments for microservices, backend APIs, and mobile apps.

• Implement blue/green and canary deployments.

3. Observability & Monitoring

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, New Relic.

• Create dashboards for real-time system health and traffic spikes.

• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and reduce downtime.

4. Security, Compliance & Risk Management

• Identify risks across cloud architecture, IAM policies, secrets management, and network exposure.

• Implement security best practices including VPC isolation, WAF, firewall rules, and SSL/TLS.

• Support incident management and root cause analysis.

5. Scalability & Reliability Engineering

• Analyze OTT traffic patterns (peak hours, weekends, new releases).

• Identify scalability gaps across microservices, caching, CDN, and databases.

• Perform capacity planning and load testing for high-growth scenarios.

6. Database & Storage

• Administer and optimize MongoDB for high-read, low-latency workloads.

• Design backup, recovery, and replication strategies.

• Collaborate with backend teams on performance tuning.

7. Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Automate infrastructure tasks for consistency and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 5+ years of DevOps / SRE experience in product-based, cloud-native environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.

• Expertise in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

• Production experience with MongoDB.

• Strong understanding of networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, NAT, routing).

• Proficiency in Bash, Python, Shell scripting.

• Experience in risk identification, incident management, and RCA.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OTT, media, video streaming, or content-heavy platforms.

• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS.

• Knowledge of CDN, caching, and streaming pipelines.
