About FLORA
We build creative tools for the new creative class—an intelligent canvas where the best AI models enable professional craft. We're a team of ~20, backed by exceptional investors like Hanabi Capital, Menlo Ventures, Justin Kan, and Gabe Whaley (founder of MSCHF). Our customers span a variety of creative industries and include Pentagram, Lionsgate, and Nike.
About the role
We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer to help build critical surfaces of FLORA's product. You'll work across our frontend systems—canvas rendering, complex workflow interactions, and the media layer that powers image and video editing.
We're a team that obsesses over craft, ships polished work fast, and refines it until it's undeniable. You'll take ownership of complex projects, collaborate closely with engineering leadership on architecture decisions, and grow alongside the product engineering team as we scale.
You'll work on
Building the canvas and workflow systems that make complexity feel effortless—our users create deeply nested, multi-step pipelines and expect them to just work
Extending our media control layer for image and video editing capabilities
Shipping high-performance, polished UI at the level creative professionals expect from their tools
Collaborating on architecture decisions across our frontend stack (Next.js, Zustand, React Flow, Convex, Vercel)
Delivering features that span the full stack
We’re looking for people who have:
5+ years building web applications, with experience shipping polished products at scale
3+ years of deep React and TypeScript experience—you have strong opinions about component architecture, state management, and performance
Practical experience building high-performance, visually refined web apps
Proven ability to take ambiguous problems and deliver well-designed solutions
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to technical decisions
Exceptionally strong candidates might also have experience with:
AI-native applications
Niche web media APIs: WebGL (@react-three/fiber), WebGPU, WebCodecs, or WebAssembly
3D graphics, or audio/video streaming on the web
Professional creative tools—TouchDesigner, Ableton, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, etc.
