Senior HSE Engineer ( GCC)
The Senior HSE Engineer is responsible for leading the health, safety, and environmental management for projects across the GCC region. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in overseeing HSE compliance and strategy implementation, ensuring that company policies and local regulations are adhered to across all operational sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HSE strategies and plans to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and contribute to safety audits for various projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to health, safety, and environment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on HSE matters.
• Lead incident investigation processes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and report on improvements or areas needing attention.
• Organize and deliver HSE training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness across the organization.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in HSE practices.
Strategic Contributions:
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the organization’s HSE policy.
• Support management in developing and maintaining a safety-first culture.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving operational safety performance.
Personal Development:
• Keep updated on industry best practices, emerging regulations, and new technologies in HSE.
• Actively participate in professional development and training programs.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Basic Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment, or a related field.
- Advanced Qualification:
• NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management roles, with a focus on the GCC region.
• Proven experience in incident investigation and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulatory frameworks in the GCC countries.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is highly desirable.
