Quantifind helps some of the world’s biggest banks catch money laundering and fraud. Quantifind also works with government agencies to use the same platform to uncover criminal networks and combat money laundering committed by internationally sanctioned entities. Unlike other players in this space, Quantifind delivers results as software-as-a-service (SaaS) with consumer-grade user experiences. 

Quantifind is a data science technology company whose AI platform uncovers signals of risk across disparate and unstructured text sources. In financial crimes risk management, Quantifind’s solution uniquely combines internal financial institution data with public domain data to assess risk in the context of Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Fraud Risk Management, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes. Today these compliance processes are burdened by ever-increasing regulatory responsibilities and an expectation of frictionless transactions. What a Great Candidate Looks Like:

• 6+ years of professional industry experience, including 2+ years at a SaaS startup
• Deep background with using Terraform/OpenTofu with a DRY methodology
• Strong history of doing infrastructure as code and configuration management with Ansible
• Very comfortable in AWS. GovCloud, Azure, and GCP a bonus.
• Familiarity with programmatically setting up and configuring firewall instances (ex: Palo Alto)
• Experience with owning datacenter infrastructure
• Familiarity with RDMBS systems, we are a Postgres shop
• Professional experience with secrets storage products such as HashiCorp Vault
• Functional understanding of PXE, DHCP, TFTP and how they work together
• Very comfortable operating under compliance regimes for SaaS apps
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaborative problem-solving skills
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, both on prem and cloud
• Experience with modern network, host and application security best practices
• Experience with uptime / availability engineering, performance metrics, and monitoring
• Good technical documentation ability
• Experience and comfort with Agile software development best practices
• Experience with Cloudflare
• Great team player who has a strong desire to change the way people use their data
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The Opportunity We Offer

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Quantifind’s HQ in Palo Alto, California, you will play a critical role in managing the infrastructure for Quantifind’s applications and services. Our stack includes back-end services and infrastructure, machine learning modules surfaced through REST APIs, and React-based front-end web applications. As a member of our DevOps Team, you will have a big impact on how we build, automate, and scale our technology and processes. You will work closely with DevOps engineers, solving problems, automating deployments, and championing best practices. 

Our technology includes: Ubuntu, Ganeti, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, git, Hadoop, Nagios, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, and in-house Scala and NodeJS applications. We deploy to our own data centers and to AWS.

Quantifind’s development team is centered in Palo Alto, California, and we have technology hubs in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Washington, D.C.  Quantifind is currently using a hybrid mix of working from home and in the office, with regular in-person touchpoints and shared office space.

The California base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 to $195,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
